Ramagundam, March 22, 2025 – NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana (R&T) observed World Water Day with a series of meaningful events aimed at promoting water conservation and awareness. The highlight of the celebration was an online suggestion writing competition on water conservation, open to employees of NTPC R&T, CISF personnel, spouses of employees, and contractual workers.
The event was officially inaugurated by Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (R&T) with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The inaugural event was attended by other distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Alok K Tripathi, GM (O&M) Ramagundam, Shri AR Dash, GM (O&M) Telangana and Shri KC Singha Roy, GM (Operations).
As part of the celebrations, an enlightening awareness talk was delivered by Dr. N. Raveendhar, Chief Scientist and Technical Consultant at the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI). Dr. Raveendhar spoke on the “Significance of Water and the Importance of World Water Day,” emphasizing the crucial need for sustainable water management and conservation practices.The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the thoughtful contributions and innovative ideas shared by participants in the suggestion writing competition.
