*SCR Strengthens Sports Infrastructure with New Indoor Volleyball Court and Gym*
*Foundation Stone Laid at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad*

South Central Railway (SCR) has taken another significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure across the zone with the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new Indoor Volleyball Court and state-of-the-art Gym at the Railway Sports Complex (RSC), Secunderabad, on Friday.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, laid the foundation stone for the new facilities in the presence of Shri Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR; Ms. Aroma Singh Thakur, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner and President, SCR Sports Association (SCRSA); Shri P. Koteswara Rao, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (Staff Welfare Services) and General Secretary, SCRSA, along with Principal Heads of Departments, the Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, and other senior railway officials.
The new facilities are being developed with the objective of providing enhanced training, fitness and recreational facilities for SCR sportspersons and fitness enthusiasts.

The proposed Indoor Volleyball Court will feature a playing area measuring 18 metres x 9 metres, equipped with non-slip matte flooring to ensure greater safety and improved playing conditions. The facility will also include spectator seating, making it suitable for regular training, coaching programmes and competitive matches.
The upcoming state-of-the-art Gym will feature a range of modern facilities, including an Olympic Training Zone, Personal Training Area, Physiotherapy and Recovery Lounge, Grand Entry Lobby, Cardio Zone, Weight Zone and Functional Training Area, among other amenities.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR, said that SCR sportspersons have been consistently delivering outstanding performances at national and international sporting events. He stated that South Central Railway is committed to further strengthening sports activities and providing better facilities to its employees and sportspersons.
The General Manager said the new Indoor Volleyball Court would provide an ideal platform for regular practice, professional coaching and the conduct of competitive and international-level matches. He added that the modern Gym would significantly support sportspersons in strength and fitness training, as well as physiotherapy and recovery programmes.
The initiative reflects SCR’s continued focus on promoting sports, improving sporting infrastructure and encouraging its employees to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
